For centuries, Chinese people have been distilling everything from philosophical ideas to folk wisdom to advice on relationships into short, memorable, and often humorous sayings called “chengyu” (成語).
These ancient phrases and their relatable wisdom that I myself heard growing up are a core part of my matchmaking practice as I advise my clients on successfully navigating dating and building relationships.
A second-generation Chinese-American, third-generation matchmaker, and former Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan Securities investment banker and tech executive. Cassindy brings a wealth of varied experience to her work with clients, blending tradition and modernity. The matchmaking bug bit early when she set-up over 100 students for the Asian-Association Blind Date Semi-Formal at Wellesley College. Cassindy trained with NYT Bestselling author and Matchmaker Rachel Greenwald along with 17 other matchmakers. She is a proud member of the Matchmakers Alliance. Cassindy is committed to her community and is on the Board of the Wellesley College Asian Alumnae Alliance, Development Committee for Asian Health Services, a former scout leader, and President of the local Asian club for her city.
She resides in the Bay Area celebrating 25 years of marriage with her husband and is always learning from her own 3 children as they navigate their own lives.
